Aberystwyth University: Materials Transfer Agreement Signed with Multinational Consumer Goods Company

Aberystwyth University has utilised IN-PART to facilitate new collaborations with industry for a diverse mix of projects, ranging from advanced materials to software and diagnostic technologies. Catrin Lewis, Technology Transfer Contracts and Intellectual Property Officer, outlined how one collaboration started with a global consumer goods company:

Using IN-PART has added significant value to our university in bringing engaged companies to discuss possible collaborations over a number of our technologies. After submitting one opportunity, we were quickly put in touch with a senior contact at a multinational consumer goods company. After an initial call, an MTA was put in place for the company to test the materials and discussions are ongoing.”

“Our experience with IN-PART has been wholly positive, and the Impact Reports we receive are also valuable in assessing how our technologies are received by a range of relevant R&D-focused companies.”
